A disease called “FAMILY”

I have never been sick seriously in my life. I am fortunate to have genes inherited from my ancestors. I sometimes have a headache when the low pressure comes like on overcasting days. That’s it. I have never had a cold for a long time.

But, I am struggling with the inheritance, a family affair. In my hometown, there is my birth house and some lands which my late father still owns. Those properties are supposed to be inherited by the owner’s family members when the owner deceased. I have been talked with my sister about it: however, we cannot agree on a consensus yet.

I have been paying all the taxes and fees imposed on the lands and house. It’s just a waste. It’s not a matter of money, though. I do not want to pay for lands that I don’t need. My sister doesn’t even know what to do. She has been insisting me to move into the house. In spite of the fact, I have told I would never do it because I do not feel like it.

I’m stumped.

Last Tuesday, when I got to that house, I saw some water spread around the entrance. It turned out it had a severe water leak in the house due to the water pipe burst by coldness. Inside the house, it was a flood. Water coming from three places has stopped four hours later after I found it, finally. It was a real ball-buster. And I need to go there again to have the construction to fix the problem soon.

I am 56 years old but now I want to be a runaway from my hometown and all that family affairs.
